In 2018, revenues from mobile telephony services dropped by 187 million lei, or down by 5.6% on the previous year, and totalled over 3.1 billion lei, the national telecommunications regulatory agency ARCETI reported.

The number of users also dropped by 1.9% to roughly 4.3 million. The monthly average revenue per user was 72.7 lei.

The voice traffic volume reported by Orange increased by 0.4%, in the Unite networks by 10.1%, and Moldcell reported a drop by 5.6%.

By the end of 2018, Orange and Unite increased their market shares by 0.1 and 0.7 percentage points respectively, while Moldcell lost 0.8 percentage points accordingly. Now the market is split 64.8% to 5.5% to 29.7%.
