The inhabitants of Bădiceni village of Soroca district and the beneficiaries of the local temporary placement center for persons with disabilities until July 15 can have lung cancer screening at a mobile radiological system. On June 16, the doctors will go to Visoca village of Soroca district, IPN reports.
The National Health Insurance Company said that until July 16, all the women from the villages of Soroca and Ialoveni district can have breast cancer screening through digital mobile mammography.
Over 3,900 persons benefited from free testing as of June 1, this year. Almost 2,500 of these had lung cancer screening, over 960 women had breast cancer screening, while about 470 children benefitted from dental services. The latter services were suspended and will be resumed on September 1.
The testing is aimed at ensuring the early detection of tuberculosis, lung and breast cancer. The National Health Insurance Company earmarked over 5.5 million le for the given activities this year.
