The High School of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova received the status of pilot institution that will implement the Security Standard-1 strategy during the 2011 Baccalaureate session, on a trial basis, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the Ministry of Education, the Baccalaureate exams will be supervised under video regime. There will be used special equipment to jam the mobile phone signals during the written exams. The strategy was proposed by the National Exam Commission in a meeting at the Ministry of Education. The meeting participants also discussed the procedure for designating chairpersons of commissions that will check the exam papers. Minister of Education Mihail Shleahtitski recommended that the lists of teachers who will serve on the national examination commissions should be drawn up on the basis of the principle of rotation. He also said that the candidates should meet certain criteria, including moral integrity and professionalism.
