The consumers who face problems related to the provision of the public water supply and sewerage service can visit a mobile consultancy center set up at the entrance to SA “Apă-Canal Chisinau” (ACC) as part of a campaign to promote the integrity and anticorruption standards in sectors regulated by the National Agency for Energy Regulation (NAER) that was launched on September 9, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the company.
Attending the lunch, NAER director Violina Șpac said the activities to inform the consumers will contribute to building confidence in the regulatory and anticorruption institutions. A social anticorruption advertisement concerning the NAER’s duties, taxes paid for issuing licenses and absence of payments for issuing authorizations was launched in support of the information campaign.
“We aim to prevent acts of corruption or, if acts of corruption are committed, to ascertain these and to hold those to blame accountable. This is an important prevention measure,” said deputy mayor of Chisinau Ilie Ceban.
Also, representatives of the National Anticorruption Center familiarized the employees of “Apă-Canal Chisinau” with regulations concerning the integrity and anticorruption standards in the private sector. The personnel were informed about the legal provisions of corruption and the obligation to denounce corruptional behaviors and acts of corruption.
SA “Apă-Canal Chisinau” acting director Anatolie Likii welcomed the launch of the campaign, saying the training will be beneficial and will prevent acts of corruption as the company didn’t witness such acts so far. The training involves about 20 employees of the company.
The campaign will be carried out in the municipalities of Chisinau and Bălți in the course of September.
