CB "Mobiasbanca - Groupe Société Générale" S.A. hosted the traditional French event Beaujolais Nouveau. The long-awaited launch of the first wine of the 2015 harvest takes place at midnight on the third Thursday of November.
On Thursday, November 21, a special party was organized with tasting of the year’s first French wine, accompanied by good music and a special menu in the National Museum of Art of Moldova. For Mobiasbanca this traditional celebration is an opportunity to gather friends in its community.
Every year, the first wine tasting is expected both in France and worldwide. Already a symbol of France the famous Beaujolais Nouveau wine is fresh and gentle, with a unique fruit flavor, originally from Burgundy region. This annual celebration brings people together from different social groups, celebrates talent for commerce and the end of the harvest season.
During the event opening, President of the Management Board of the bank - CEO, Ridha Tekaia stated: "For several years together with the bank’s friends and customers we enjoy launching of the year’s first red wine in France. This evening, however, we want to celebrate the victory and solidarity, we want to believe in a better world and share the feeling of goodwill and friendship".
Attending the event, French Ambassador to Moldova, H.E. Pascal Vagogne, addressing the guests, said: "Beaujolais Nouveau is an event in the spirit of Paris and this evening, many Parisians, like us, seek solace in the meeting, friendship and sharing of this spirit. At the same time, the Ambassador thanked the Moldovan people for their support in these difficult moments for France and proposed an homage dedicated to Paris in the beginning of the event.
The celebration of the new wine was also attended by EU representatives, H.E. Pirkka Tapiola, officials, partners and customers of the bank, representatives of the French community and other public figures. Guests enjoyed a French-style atmosphere, French cheeses, accompanied by the wine of the day - Beaujolais Nouveau, which some of them were lucky to take home.
