Mobiasbanca at the Moldovan-EU International Investors’ Conference

 

Mobiasbanca - Groupe Société Générale has participated as a partner and guest at the "Moldova Business Week 2014" event held from June 5 to 12, 2014, in Chisinau, aimed to promote the export of Moldovan goods and attracting investments in the Republic of Moldova. The event brought together high-level representatives of the European Union, Austria, Bulgaria, Turkey, the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

In frame of the event, on June 12th has been held the Moldova-EU International Investors’ Conference organized by MIEPO in cooperation with EBA and EU, aimed to comprise detailed discussions on the Association Agreement and FATCA, the impact of the economic integration on the business and investment environment of the Republic of Moldova. The conference was opened by the Prime Minister of Moldova, Mr. Iurie Leancă, and the European Commission President, Mr. José Manuel Barroso.

The Conference was attended by businessmen and potential investors in the national economy, representatives of government structures and agencies, chambers of commerce, and representatives of diplomatic missions. Mobiasbanca was represented by the President of the bank, Mr. Ridha Tekaia, who is also president of the Foreign Investment Association (FIA), who spoke about investment opportunities in Moldova and improving RM business environment. It should be mentioned that Mobiasbanca is member of FIA since 2007.
