The Moldovan and Ukrainian authorities couldn’t reach an agreement as to when to launch the third Moldovan train renovated in Romania on the Chisinau – Odessa route, IPN reports.
The train was to start to run to Odessa on May 26. Daniela Juganaru, spokeswoman for the state-run Moldova’s Railways, has told IPN that decision makers from the two states will come together for a meeting next week to take a decision.
The responsible company from Ukraine told the publication “Kommersant-Ucraina” that the partners from Moldova asked for a certain sum of money for the work done by the Moldovan team in Ukraine, but they cannot pay it. According to unofficial reports, there is a difference of about €200 between the sum asked by the Moldovans and that offered by the Ukrainians.
