Romania will continue to support Moldova with concrete and viable projects which will show to the Moldovan people that the European course generates prosperity and new opportunities, Romanian Senator Mircea Geoana, who is the Romanian Government’s high representative for strategic economic projects and public diplomacy, said in a meeting with Prime Minister Iurie Leanca, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué of the Government of Moldova.
The officials discussed the joint crossborder projects, the projects to interconnect the energy systems and to enter the European markets and the developments in the region, especially Moldova’s European agenda. Iurie Leanca said that Moldova will firmly continue its road to the EU so that the people have well-paid jobs, access to clean water and good roads and to studies of a high quality.
Mircea Geoana is paying a working visit to Moldova following the April 29 meeting of the Prime Ministers of Moldova and Romania and in connection with the signing of the Association Agreement between Moldova and the EU, set for June 27.
