An 11-year-old boy was taken to the hospital with burns after his clothes caught fire from the gas stove. According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, it happened in Colibaș village of Cahul district. The boy’s father was nearby and he managed to extinguished the fire. An ambulance team gave first aid to the child and this was later transported to the district hospital, IPN reports.

The minor suffered burns on 15% of the body.

Rescuers urge the population to strictly obey the safety rules when using gas stoves and other gas installations and to restrict the children’s access to burning sources. In exceptional cases, the persons should call the 112 Service.
