Minor quake hits Romania and Moldova overnight

A light earthquake which measured 4.3 degrees on the Richter scale occurred at 1:48 in the morning in Romania's Vrancea region and was also felt in parts of Moldova, including Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports. Ion Ilies, the head of the Seismology Center, said the earthquake occurred at a depth of 100-110 kilometers and 212 kilometers south-west of the central seismic station in Chisinau. The intensity of the tremor in Chisinau was 2 out of 12 degrees of the MSK scale, meaning hardly perceptible and without damages. This is the fifth earth tremor above 4 degrees on the Richter scale to be registered in the last six months.
