A boy aged 15 died after a football gate fell over him. The tragedy occurred on May 31 on a football field in Ciocana district. An investigation is underway.

The teen was on the football pitch together with other minors when he hanged on the gate. At a certain moment, the gate fell over the boy,” press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati has told IPN.

The minor was rushed to the hospital by an ambulance, but he could not be saved.

“The field was built in 2019 and the people living nearby took care of the stadium. Those in charge presented reports and images from surveillance cameras are also available,” the Chisinau City Hall said in a press release.
