A 13 year old was taken to hospital to receive treatment for severe alcohol intoxication. The case was registered by the doctors of the Emergency Service on Sunday, by 6.00 pm. According to Chisinau Emergency Service doctor-coordinator Anatol Proca, the boy, 13, needed medical treatment after he had drunken 1.5 litres of wine. The minor was hospitalised at the Mother and Child Centre for detox. Under the influence, a 24-year man attempted to commit suicide by hanging, but he was saved by his relatives. On the same day, at the entrance to a block of flats located on Mitropolit Varlaam Street, a man, 40, was found with his veins of both forearms cut open. The man was taken to hospital with hemorrhagic shock of II degree. The five teams of doctors, which were on guard at the cemetery “St Lazar” and Central Cemetery on Armeneasca Street provided aid to 35 persons. Most of cases were related to cardiovascular diseases. On Easter days, the Chisinau Emergency Service registered 1107 calls.
