The Ministry of Internal Affairs reports the annihilation of a network offering illegal services for regaining Romanian citizenship, Info-Prim Neo informs. Deputy Interior Minister Valentin Zubic told reporters on Tuesday, January 15, that a group of persons has been detained after 7 months of police work. According to Zubic, the group included two persons holding dual citizenship, the first a Chisinau and the other a Bucharest resident. The members of the network charged between 150 and 300 euro for their services, depending on the emergency of the case. The Deputy Interior Minister informed that two officials from the Ministry of Justice from Bucharest have been also involved in the case. According to Zubic, 135 persons regained their Romanian citizenship in such a way, while the applications of other 560 persons wait for their turn to be processed. The files of the two Romanian officials have been sent to the law enforcement bodies from Bucharest by means of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Valentin Zubic said.
