An acute coronary sysadmin is presumed to be the cause of the death of the woman from Căușeni, who in mid-September killed her 5-year-old son, and then tried to commit suicide. Ion Prisăcaru, state secretary of the Ministry of Health, told the media that this is the preliminary version, and the exact cause will be established by medical examiners, IPN reports.
Ion Prisăcaru said that the death occurred suddenly in the medical institution where the woman was under examination. "Indeed, the patient suffered a sudden death. The preliminary diagnosis is death due to an acute coronary syndrome. We are waiting for the results of the medical examination that will provide answers to all questions. The patient was under psychiatric evaluation and, by and large, this was almost completed. She remained hospitalized for further supervision,” said the official of the Ministry of Health.
According to him, the woman was given treatment for the mental problems she was complaining of, but also for the chronic diseases detected during examinations at the psychiatric hospital.
On September 16, in a locality in Căușeni district, the police found the body of a 5-year-old boy. The child's mother, aged 39, had a wound in the neck region. She tried to commit suicide. It was found that the woman suffered from an organic delusional disorder with schizophrenic tendencies. She was undergoing treatment as she was affected by the loss of another child and her husband. After this case, the woman’s daughter was transferred in the care of relatives.
Asked about the third child, Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Buzu said that there are very clear procedures. "The children are placed in emergency care. We will see if there is someone who wants to take responsibility among the extended family members. If not, we have professional foster parents and family-type homes. So, for sure, there is a form of protection. All children benefit from support, access to a psychologist, etc.," noted the minister.
