The head of the Moldovan diplomatic service Nicu Popescu is paying a working visit to Moscow during November 16-17at the invitation of his Russian counterpart, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the program of the visit includes meetings with Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Dmitri Kozak and chairman of Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs Grigory Karasin.
As co-chairman of the joint intergovernmental commission for commercial and economic cooperation, Nicu Popescu will meet with co-chair Dmitry Patrushev, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
While in Moscow, the minister will sign the plan of consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs for 2022-2023 and will have meetings with experts and journalists.
On November 17, Nicu Popescu and Sergey Lavrov will give a joint news conference that will be broadcast on the Facebook page of the a Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration starting at 12 noon, Chisinau time.
