The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration is considering possibilities of evacuating 26 Moldovans from Nepal to Republic of Moldova. The Moldovan citizens are travelling in Nepal, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the institution.
According to the Ministry, Moldova’s Embassy was contacted by the Moldovans in Nepal after the international flights in this country were suspended until May 31 following the imposition of additional internal measures in connection with COVID-19.
The citizens can use the Ministry’s Call Center +373 22 788 722 to inform about other Moldovans in difficulty. The Ministry recommends the Moldovans to familiarize themselves with the updated travel advisories that are published on its website on Friday. The unessential trips in the areas affected by the novel coronavirus should be avoided.
Nepal reported over 431,000 cases of COVID-19 so far and more than 8,000 new cases during the last 24 hours.
