The Ministry of Finance has opened a special account to which financial resources in support of farmers can be transferred. The authorities also made an appeal to the development partners, IPN quoted President Igor Dodon as saying in a press briefing after the Monday meeting of senior state officials.

“Last Friday I had a telephone discussion with the President of Turkey Recep Erdogan, whom I asked for support too. I hope a positive decision will be taken the next few days. Also, today or tomorrow I will have discussions with the administration of the Russian Federation on the same issue. I hope a lot that our partners will offer us support so that we could help the farmers,” he stated.

President Dodon voiced hope that after the recent rain the farmers will be able to prepare the land for winter sowing. “The necessary amounts of seeds are available. The Government inspected all the enterprises. There are seeds for winter sowing in the Republic of Moldova,” said the official.
