The Ministry of Defense has warned that an increasing number of videos showing columns of military vehicles belonging to the U.S. Army traveling on national roads are disseminated online. According to the institution, all these videos are accompanied by provocative messages aimed at causing panic and misinforming the population. The given videos date from the Moldova-U.S. exercise “Dragon Pioneer” of 2016, IPN reports.

“Also, videos showing military vehicles of the National Army on streets in a number of national localities continue to be distributed on Tiktok, Telegram channels. We reiterate that these move from the permanent location to training centers of the army where they are taking part in the exercise “Fire Shields 2022”,” the Ministry noted in a press release.

Given this exercise, the military vehicles will continue to travel on national roads. “We call on the citizens to be calm and maximally vigilant. Inform yourself only from safe and reliable sources. We ask the representatives of the media not to distribute information that is not confirmed by official sources,” said the Ministry.
