The Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) presented the candidates for the posts of ministers in the new Cabinet in a news conference in the evening on February 11, IPN reports.
The candidates put forward by the PDM:
Minister of Culture – Monica Babuc;
Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family – Ruxanda Glavan;
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy – Stepfane Cristopfe Bride (citizen of France)
Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration – Victor Osipov;
Minister of Regional Development and Construction – Vasile Batca;
Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure – Vasile Botnari;
Minister of Information and Communication Technology – Pavel Filip;
Minister of Youth and Sport – Serghei Afanasenco.
“The candidates for ministers were chosen as a result of debates and profound analyses. We wanted to find real professionals. These persons already showed their skills in different areas, but we would like to simultaneously respect the promise made to the voters – to name to posts young people also, including women and representatives of local organizations,” said the leader of the PDM Marian Lupu.
The politician also said he is almost sure that the Cabinet will be invested on February 12. If this does not happen, the Democrats will go to the second round of voting with the same list of candidates. He thanked the former ministers of the PDM, who worked in the Leanca I Government and who will not be in the new executive, but will definitely be present in Parliament.
