Ministers focus on unfinished buildings
The problem of unfinished apartment buildings, which total about 200, will be examined in a meeting involving jurists and anticorruption officers on January 25, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In the Government's meeting on January 19, Prime Minister Vlad Filat said the people who invested money in housebuilding have been waiting for years to move to the new apartments. Some of them were to receive the keys to the new homes in 2005, but are still waiting.
The delays made many people take to the streets. A protest was staged the day when the new Government held its first meeting. After talking to the protesters, Vlad Filat said there are a number of solutions. It is not excluded that the state will take over these buildings or some of them and will coordinate their construction.
