The ministers designate will be sworn in on September 25, 2018. The decrees on their appointment are to be signed by Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu, who temporarily holds office of President of Moldova, IPN reports.

The Constitutional Court suspended Igor Dodon from office after he deliberately refused to perform his constitutional duties and rejected twice the candidates for ministers proposed by the Prime Minister.

Following an application submitted by a group of MPs, the Court held that the Speaker of Parliament or the Premier will hold office of President on an interim basis to sign the decrees to name the two candidates for ministers whom Igor Dodon refused to appoint: Nicolae Ciubuc as minister of agriculture, regional development and environment and Silvia Radu as minister of health, labor and social protection.

The ceremony to sign the decrees will take place at the State Residence starting at 4pm.
