Moldova and Israel should work together to create a tourist route that would make it easier for Israelis to connect themselves to the Jewish cultural heritage in Moldova, suggested Foreign Minister Nicu Popescu during a phone conversation with his Israeli counterpart Yair Lapid.

The two officials also discussed the situation in the region. Nicu Popescu tated that Moldova advocates for an environment where nations do not solve their problems by force or military threats, but through dialogue, peaceful means and diplomatic solutions.

The two diplomats exchanged views on the current state of bilateral relations, including actions planned for 2022 in the context of the 30th anniversary of Moldova-Israel relations.

Nicu Popescu accepted the invitation to pay a visit to Israel to further deepen and strengthen the friendly relations to the benefit of both countries’ citizens.
