The woman behind the wheel of the Porsche car, which ran into a trolleybus in Buiucani sector, two days ago, had a blood alcohol content of 2.15 g/l. The information has been furnished at the Government meeting, by the Minister of Health, Ala Nemerenco. Subsequently, the MAI specified that the Center of Forensic Medicine found a blood alcohol content of 1.87 g/l, IPN reports.
Commenting on the accident, Prime Minister Maia Sandu said that "corruption in state institutions, including justice, which was not reformed on time, has become a tragedy." The prime minister rhetorically asked how a woman who had 5 criminal cases and 40 contravention cases for traffic violations could be allowed to drive a car.
Health Minister Ala Nemerenco said that most of the injured who needed hospitalization had medium severity traumas. The two minors who suffered in the accident were released.
The accident on Alba Iulia street occurred on Monday, September 30, at around 2 pm, when a Porsche model car crashed into a trolleybus full of passengers. Following the accident 28 people needed medical care. A man, passenger in the car, died on the spot.
