The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research warns parents that they do not have to pay illegal fares so that their children benefit from a fair educational process. Minister Liliana Nicolaescu-Onofrei signed an order which aims to prevent and combat the phenomenon of corruption in educational institutions.

The MECC warns managerial and didactic staff about the need to promptly respond to corruption and to take all necessary actions in order to prevent and counter corruption in educational institutions. Additionally, the ministry reminded educational personnel of their obligation to inform and educate pupils and parents about the illegality and inadmissibility of fund collection.

All educational institutions are required to manifest themselves as paragons of transparency and integrity.
