The minimum old-age pension will grow to 3,300 lei, as of May 1, 2025, for people who have a full contribution period of 40 years at the time the pension is set. This is provided in the draft state budget law for next year, IPN reports.

According to the draft, the one-time childbirth allowance for will be increased from 20,000 lei to 21,350 lei, in correlation with the monetary value of the minimum basket of goods needed at birth.

Also, the period of partial paid leave for childcare is included in the seniority in special work, for contract soldiers.

The monthly state allowance for the rehabilitated victims of political repression of 1917-1990 is expected to be increased by 250 lei.

The draft also provides that 1.445,2 billion lei will go to grant compensatory payments for energy, according to the new mechanism for offering energy compensation.
