From May 1, the minim guaranteed salary in the real sector will be 1,650 lei a month or 9.77 lei an hour, IPN reports, quoting a Government decision.

Given the annual growth rate of the consume price index and of the workforce productivity, the size of the reexamined minimum guaranteed pay is 1,558 lei a month or 9.33 lei an hour.

However, as a result of negotiations, the employers accepted the minimum guaranteed pay in the real sector of the economy to be 1,650 lei a month or 9.77 lei an hour from May 1. This is by 250 lei more than the current minimum guaranteed salary of 1,400 lei.
