Minimum guaranteed salary in real sector increased
The minimum guaranteed salary in the real sector was raised by 200 lei, Info-Prim Neo reports. From February 1, 2010, the minimum guaranteed pay in the real sector of the economy, regardless of the type of property and pattern of ownership, will be 6.51 lei per hour or 1,100 lei per month, calculated for a complete work program of 169 hours on average a month.
The decision was made by the National Commission for Collective Talks and Consultations at the insistence of the trade unions. The social partners signed the Collective Convention No. 9 on the minimum guaranteed salary in the real sector, which says that the economic entities are obliged to implement the new norm until May 1, 2010.
The minimum guaranteed salary for the basic personnel in agriculture and forestry will be 990 lei a month, while for the auxiliary personnel in these sectors at least 600 lei a month.
The trade unions rejected the bill with amendments to the Labor Code, which provides for reducing the term during which the employees are informed about the closure of the unit or the cut in the number of employees from two months to one month, and canceling the redundancy payment of one average weekly wage for every year of work. They demanded that the given issue be discussed by the social partners additionally.
The social partners also decided that the recent statement issued by the National Confederation of Trade Unions about the rise in power and heat charges will be discussed in more detail after the Government identifies the money needed to cover the difference between the new and old charges for the deprived groups of people.
