The itinerary of the minibuses running on routes in Chisinau municipality will be modified in a move to ensure the people’s access to large units of transport, Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said, quoted by IPN.
In the July 14 meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, the mayor asked that the minibus route administrators should be invited to the Transport Division so that they are informed about the instituted changes. The minibuses will ensure connection with the suburban settlements, while some of the routes will be shortened. Downtown Chisinau will be bypassed. Practically all the minibus routes will have a single terminus, outside the city.
The head of the General Public Transport and Communications Division Igor Gamretski said that most of the minibuses, except those running on route No. 155, resumed work.
