A minibus that ran on the Copanca-Tiraspol route caught fire in the morning f January 11. Fortunately, there were no passengers inside and the driver didn’t suffer injuries.

The police in Căușeni were alerted at about 07:30am. A minibus running on the Copanca-Tiraspol route was burning on the main street of Copanca village of Căușeni district.

Firefighters were called out to extinguish the fire. The vehicle cannot be rehabilitated.

Press officer of the Căușeni Police Inspectorate Silvia Vetcu has told IPN that the fire was allegedly caused by an electrical short circuit. Other circumstances are being established.
