A man aged 33 from Marandeni village of Falesti district died in a road accident in the evening of May 4. Press officer of the National Patrolling Inspectorate Diana Fetco said the man was driving a minibus. He wanted to avoid the impact with a motorcycle, but performed a bad maneuver and the vehicle ended up in a roadside ditch, IPN reports.
The accident happened on the M-14 road, near Marandeni village of Falesti district, close to midnight. The 22-year-old man who drove the motorcycle travelled in the opposite direction, with his lights being dim. The driver of the minibus wanted to avoid a head-on collision with the motorcycle and turned suddenly to the left, overturning the vehicle in the ditch.
The minibus driver died on the spot, while the motorcyclist, who is from Glodeni town, suffered a brain injury. There were no other persons in the minibus.
