A minibus has overturned after it was struck by a terrain car at the intersection of the streets Bulgara and Bernardazzi this morning, Info-Prim Neo reports. Tudor Capatana, of the Traffic Police Division, said the Mitsubishi Pajero car did not give way to the Gazel minibus that was going to the State University of Moldova. It was taking rolls to the University's eatery. An employee of the eatery was in the vehicle. The minibus turned upside down and gasoline started to pour out. The electric system was immediately turned off so as to avoid a fire. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, coordinating doctor of the Chisinau Ambulance Service Silvia Babara said the 53-year-old driver of the car was admitted to the Emergency Hospital with a backbone trauma. The minibus driver wasn't hurt. The passenger suffered a knee injury, but refused hospitalization. A number of 958 road accidents have happened in Moldova this year. They resulted in 130 deaths and 1,207 persons injured.
