Minibus involved in accident in Romania didn’t have required authorization

The minibus that was involved in a road accident in Romania on December 21, in which a number of Moldovans were hurt, didn’t have an authorization allowing transporting passengers. Acting Prime Minister Gheorghe Brega instructed acting Minister of the Interior Oleg Balan to take attitude. The minister told the Premier that information about the firms that have transport authorizations was sent to all the customs posts, IPN reports.

Balan said the passengers injured in the accident are still in hospitals in Romania. Those who are in a more serious state are in Bucharest.

The Moldovans travelled by the minibus to Bucharest to submit the documents required for obtaining Romanian nationality. At a turn, the 26-year-old driver of the minibus lost control of the vehicle. This skidded off the roadway and ran into a roadside tree. The Romanian press reported that at least six persons were hurt, with one of them being in a coma.
