Minibus drivers will be obliged to post and obey schedules
The minibus drivers in Chisinau will have to put schedules in the vehicles within a month and to comply with them. Deputy mayor of Chisinau Nistor Grozavu instructed the General Public Transport and Communications Division to work in concert with the route managers and make sure that the ordinance is fulfilled, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In Monday’s meeting of City Hall officials, the deputy mayor said special attention will be devoted to the suburban routes because the drivers in the suburbs often do not set off when they should, but when the vehicle is full and thus the people have to wait.
Nistor Grozavu said the minibus schedules must be in view so that the passengers know them. According to the General Public Transport and Communications Division, about 1 800 minibuses run on routes in the municipality of Chisinau.
