Milsami came again closer to the winner’s rostrum after beating FC Tiraspol 2-1 at its own field in the 11th stage of the National Division, IPN reports.
Milsami ranks fourth with 18 points, having by 5 points fewer than the leading Sheriff. The star of the Orhei team Romeo Surdu scored the most effective goal of the match and of the stage. The Romanian striker scored with a kick from about 25 meters, with goalkeeper Georgi Georgiev being unable to defend the goal. Surdu is the top scorer of the championship with seven goals scored.
“We won a very important victory that allowed us to come closer to the leading teams,” Milsami coach Iurie Osipenco told a news conference.
“Milsami was luckier today. We dominated the game, but didn’t profit from the created occasions,” said the coach of FC Tiraspol Vlad Goian.
The other matches of the 11th stage ended as follows: Veris - Sheriff 0-3, Saxan - Costuleni 1-1, Zimbru - Zaria 6-0, and Academia – Dinamo Auto 2-0.
