Moldova’s football champion Milsami Orhei qualified for the third round of the UEFA Champions League after beating Bulgaria’s Ludogorets 2-1 on July 21. To reach the Champions League groups, Milsami must also go through the third and fourth rounds, IPN reports.
The goals in the encounter with Ludogorets were scored by Gheorghe Andronic in the 26th minute and Petru Racu in the 89th minute. The Moldovan team had by one player fewer after Andrei Cojocari was shown the second yellow card in the 73rd minute and was eliminated from the field.
In the next round, Milsami Orhei will meet Albania’s Skenderbeu on July 28 and on August 8 (return game). If they defeat the Albanian team, Milsami will secure a place in the Europa League groups. Earlier, only Sheriff Tiraspol achieved such a result.
