Six consecutive victories, including a 2-0 home win over Dacia-Buiucani on Tuesday, have propelled Milsami Orhei into the second place of the National Division.
Dragan scored the first goal from a penalty kick in the 69th minute, and Nazar created the final score with a last-minute goal.
“It’s been a difficult game because the young folks at Dacia put up a commendable defense. It’s easier to play against teams that practice and offensive style really,” said Milsami manager Serghei Dubrovin.
Milsami evened Petrocub on points after the latter were held to an away draw by Dinamo-Auto. The Hîncești-based team were in the lead for 68 minutes after Țurcan’s early goal, but Paireli knot up the score in the 70th minute. In injury time, Plătica could have made Petrocub victorious, but missed a penalty. Plătica actually scored from the first shot, but referee Piotr Stoianov ordered the penalty to be repeated.
Next up in the National Division is Zimbru vs. Speranța on Wednesday, and on Thursday Codru will encounter FC Florești. The fixture Sheriff vs. St. Gheorghe had to be postponed to allow Sheriff meet Dundalk in the Europa League third qualifying round on Thursday.
