Milsami won the fifth consecutive match in the National Division and became a sole leader after 11 matches played. The ‘red eagles’ beat the newly promoted FC Ungheni 4-0, IPN reports.
International player Eugen Sidorenko opened the score in the 21st minute. Goalkeeper Ivanov was tricked again in the first half with a head kick by Belorussia player Rakhmanov. After the break, Croatian footballer Banovic scored his fourth goal of the season, while Russia’s Zhigulev set the final scoreline in the 87th minute after transforming a superb kick from outside the field.
“It’s enjoyable to be on the first place. I want my team to remain a leader as long as possible. A difficult match with Saxan away is approaching,” Milsami coach Andrian Sosnovski told a news conference.
Milsami is two points ahead of Sheriff, which failed to defeat Petrocub in Hancesti (0-0), even if Sheriff was led by the new coach Roberto Bordin of Italy.
Dacia won against Saxan 2-0 and comes third. The encounter between Zaria and Speranta in Balti ended by the same score. Also, Dinamo-Auto beat Academia 3-1 and climbed two spots in the rankings, avoiding thus the last place.
