About 190 military men will be provided with dwellings in the Chisinau, Cahul, Ungheni and Floresti Garrisons, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Minister of Defense Vitalie Vrabie, the apartments will be distributed according to the lists drawn up by the Housing Commission. The military men with a length of service of 15 years and more and those in reserve with seniority of over 20 years will receive money to purchase dwellings. According to Vitalie Vrabie, 99 persons received about 67.6 million lei overall to acquire apartments. A sum of 1.4 million lei for two more apartments is now in the treasury. Another 24 contracts worth over 17 million lei are being registered for payment. The Government of Moldova allocated 127 million lei to the Ministry of Defense to implement the program for the social protection of the military men and their families. This money was obtained from selling two plots of land 8.39 hectares in area at public auctions.
