Military men accused of committing eight crimes
The Military Prosecutor's Office of Chisinau completed the examination of a legal case opened against a military men of the Motorized Infantry Brigade No. 2, who is accused of committing eight crimes during two days, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The investigated crimes include desertion, hooliganism, rape, violent acts of sexual character, causing of intentional medium bodily injuries, causing of intentional serious bodily injuries, theft and robbery.
According to the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, the man left the military unit without permission and went to his native village Slobozia in Stefan-Voda district. Being under the influence of alcohol, he terrorized residents of Stefan Voda and Causeni, committed an act of hooliganism, two rapes, two violent acts of sexual character and other crimes between August 17 and 19, 2009.
The psychiatric examination showed the man did not suffer from mental disorders. The legal case was sent to court.
The man admitted to having committed the mentioned offenses that are punished with three to 12 years in jail.
