Judoka Mikhail Latyshev took the fifth place at the Paris Grand Slam 2024. He won against Chile’s Jorge Perez, Ukrainian’s Mykhailo Svidrak, Germany’s Timo Cavelius and Kazakhstan’s Abylaikhan Zhubanazar. In the fight for the bronze medal in the 81 kg weight category, Latyshev lost to Francois Gauthier Drapeau of Canada, IPN reports.

In the 73 kg weight category, Adil Osmanov scored four victories, against Portugal’s Thelmo Gomes, Jack Yonezuka of the U.S., Jorge Cano Garcia of Spain and Mongolia’s Erdenebayar Batzaya. He was beaten by Georgia’s Giorgi Chikhelidze and Kosovo’s Akil Gjakova, who both climbed on to the winner’s rostrum. Adil ranked seventh.

In the women’s competition, Oxana Dyachenko suffered a defeat in the first duel in the +78 kg weight category. She was defeated by Saetbyeol Park of South Korea.
