After the mayor Ion Ceban has submitted his MP mandate, his seat in the Parliament belongs to the alternate candidate on the list of the Socialist Party, Mihail Paciu. Central Election Commission proposed for validation of the Constitutional Court Paciu's mandate at the meeting on Friday, November 15, IPN reports.

The CEC decision was voted by five members of the Commission, while one member abstained.

Mihail Paciu is an engineer-agronomist and manager of "M. Paciu" peasant household. At parliamentary elections, Paciu ran on the list of PSRM under number 33. He was also candidate in uninominal constituency no. 19, Ivancea commune and accumulated over three thousand votes, ranking second.

The mandate of deputy remained vacant after the election of Ion Ceban as general mayor of Chisinau municipality.
