Shortly after being confirmed as judge of the Constitutional Court by Parliament, Mihai Poalelungi was named president of the Court in a plenary meeting of the institution, IPN reports, with reference to a press release.
Mihai Poalelungi was appointed for a three-year term.
The former president and judge of the Constitutional Court Tudor Pantiru vacated the seats at the end of January. From February 1 until now, the post was held on an interim basis by judge Aurel Baiesu.
