Mihai Poalelungi, who was nominated as Constitutional Court judge, was confirmed to post by Parliament in its March 16 sitting, IPN reports.
Poalelungi was the only candidate who applied to take part in the contest announced by the Superior Council of Magistracy after Tudor Pantiru resigned from the post of judge and president of the Constitutional Court.
Since 2012 until recently, Mihai Poalelungi had served as judge and president of the Supreme Court of Justice.
