Halfback Mihai Platica signed for FC Rostov, where he will join Alexandru Gatcan, IPN reports. “The advantage is that Platica will not be considered a foreigner. He has Russian nationality and has never played for the national team of Moldova,” FC Rostov vice president Alexandr Shikunov told the Russian press.

At the beginning of the current season, Platica performed for Zimbru for which he scored three goals in ten matches. In his career, he also played for Sfantul Gheorghe, Academia, and Neftekhimik.

Moldovan footballers Igor Picushceak, Igor Armas, Ilie Cebanu and Alexandru Gatcan also play in the championship of Russia. Rostov takes the last position in the rankings.
