Mihai Godea: Parliament doesn't deserve vacation

Parliament failed the past spring-summer session and took an undeserved recess, stated independent MP Mihai Godea, the leader of the newly-created Democratic Action Party, at a press conference on Wednesday. “Moldova's problems don't take recesses. The citizens of this country, who live in poverty and uncertainty, also don't get a vacation. Most people who fuel this state with revenue don't afford a vacation. There are even a lot of businessmen who won't take a vacation because the state of affairs in Moldova don't afford them the luxury of rest”, declared Mihai Godea. Godea went on to enumerate the “failures” of the recently closed parliamentary session, including the reform of justice and law enforcement system, the reform of state monopolies, the inquiry into the April 7 events, the European integration, etc. Asked to comment on Mihai Godea's criticism, Speaker Marian Lupu said that everyone had the right to an opinion, but in quantitative terms the spring-summer didn't differ from the previous ones.
