Independent candidate for mayor of Chisinau Mihai Godea amused himself by proposing a guide on how to give electoral presents intended for politicians. The guide contains sarcastic ‘recommendations” as to when, how and where to distribute presents in exchange for a vote and tells the voters how they can use the electoral presents, Info-Prim Neo reports. “We are on the last 100 meters of the election campaign and witness rather unpleasant cases of electoral present offering. I want to help our politicians who distribute electoral presents in exchange for a vote and our voters so that they know better how to manage this process,” Mihai Godea said ironically. He enumerated the recommendations sitting at a table full of parcels with improvised electoral presents. The parcels were of four colors, representing the PDM, PLDM, PD, and PCRM. The recommendations for politicians include: distribute electoral presents in the settlements were there are many socially underprivileged families three times a week, during every term in office; do not give such presents during religious holidays as the voters may confuse you with kindhearted Christians. Mihai Godea urges the voters: not to elect the electoral presents depending on the party as it is the content that matters; do not throw the bags as they can be useful as garbage bags; do not discriminate, take presents from everyone; the electoral present becomes electoral bribe if you vote for those who gave it to you. Mihai Godea is the 14th in the list on the ballot for the mayoralty of Chisinau.
