The leader of the Democratic Action Party (PAD) Mihai Godea regrets that President Nicolae Timofti allowed a government dismissed for acts of corruption to enjoy full rights. In a press briefing on May 11, Mihai Godea said that Nicolae Timofti does not have the moral right to hold the post of head of state because he promulgated anticonstitutional laws, IPN reports.
According to the PAD leader, the head of state plays the game of the new coalition, between the PLDM and PCRM. Nicolae Timofti had the chance to become the most valuable President of Moldovei, but he now defends political interests.
Mihai Godea stated that the early legislative elections are the only chance to continue the path to European integration and to overcome the current political crisis. "Until Rogozin (Russian Deputy Prime Minister, e.n.) comes to Chisinau uninvited, I don't see why we should avoid the early elections. It's clear that Vlad Filat is the slave of Putin (Russia's President, e.n.)," he said.
He also said that his party has held talks with a number of political parties of Moldova with a view to forming a solid democratic coalition so as bring back Moldova onto the path to European integration.
