Mihai Godea asks for information about negotiations on gas supply
Unaffiliated MP Mihai Godea, the head of the Democratic Action Party, asked that Prime Minister Vlad Filat and Deputy Prime Minister Valeriu Lazar should report in Parliament on the negotiation of the contract for the supply of gas with Gazprom, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“I demand that the Prime Minister or Deputy Prime Minister Valeriu Lazar, who conducts the negotiations, come to today’s sitting of the legislature to provide information about the negotiation of the new contract for the supply of Russian gas,” said the MP.
Mihai Godea stated that the unofficial reports and the Premier’s suggestions lead to the conclusion that the Russian authorities and Gazprom impose tough, even dangerous conditions for signing the contact.
He stressed that the negotiations are not at all transparent and not even the MPs are informed about the conditions of the negotiated agreements.
