Mihai Ghimpu seeks information on recent statements about corruption from state institutions

Acting President Mihai Ghimpu requested the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Security and Information Service, the Ministry of the Interior, and the Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime to provide detailed information about the statements made recently by a number of politicians and businessmen, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the presidential press service, Mihai Ghimpu Thursday convoked the heads of the mentioned institutions to discuss issues regarding the state’s economic security and the fight against corruption. The report is to be submitted to the head of state next week in a new meeting.
