The candidacy of Chiril Gaburici for the post of Prime Minister was agreed by the leaders of the PLDM, PDM and PCRM long ago, the chairman of the Liberal Party Mihai Ghimpu said in a program on RTR Moldova channel, IPN reports.

Ghimpu noted that namely Gaburici he meant when he said two weeks ago that the name of the head of the Government will begin with ‘G’. “Everyone thought that I meant Natalia Gherman. It would have been good, but they do not want Gherman as she has a too European face,” he said.

Mihai Ghimpu also said that the plan of the PLDM and PDM was to remove the Liberal Party from governance and to prevent Iurie Leanca from becoming Prime Minister. “They wanted an alliance not with the Liberals, but with the Communists. This government will not do reforms because the Communists have never been reformists. A Gaburici Government will be voted, but it will not resist for more than a year. It will be a sacrifice government that they will blame for their failures,” he stated.

Mihai Ghimpu underlined that the party he heads will not vote for the Gaburici Government and until the Liberal faction is in the opposition it will vote no bill put forward by the PLDM, PDM and PCRM. They are yet ready to take part in governance if the Gaburici Government is dismissed. “I criticized them not only once and repeat that I don’t like them. They control all the banks and the ministries. If our contribution within a European government is needed, we will take part, but under another formula,” he said.
